It is very important that we each know how we can protect ourselves and fellow employees in an emergency situation. The most common emergencies are fires, chemical spills, injuries or criminal activity. By following a few common sense rules, we can help to insure our workplace will be safe.

Whenever you experience an emergency, summon emergency rescue, police and fire departments: DIAL 911

Fire Safety
Attempt to fight a fire only if it is small and there is not an imminent threat.
If the fire is out of control or you feel yourself in danger, EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY can dial 911.

Emergency Evacuation
There are 10 things that each of our employees must know in case of an evacuation:
1. Know that you must stay calm. This is the most important thing to know.
2. Know the emergency contact numbers
3. Know your department's evacuation plan
4. Know your destination spot: where your department gathers and
Remain a safe distance form the building
5. Know where the fire extinguisher is located in your department and how to use it.
6. Know that if an emergency occurs that requires evacuation, know how to sound the alarms and do so immediately to warn your fellow workers.
7. Know that you must not ignore the alarm, even if there is no sign of fire or emergency and walk to the nearest exit.
8. Know you don't use the elevator in an emergency.
9. Know your designated floor coordinator who will perform a headcount and report it immediately to fire department personnel.
10. Know that you must remain at the gathering point until directed otherwise. Do not leave the site or reenter the building without permission of your designated evacuation coordinator.
